Work History
Dr. Loftus worked as a Medical Director for Surgical Services & Clinical Resources for Banner Health, a large integrated delivery network based out of Phoenix, Arizona. This leadership role provided him the opportunity to diffuse new innovations in clinical and operational practices across a healthcare system. Successfully implemented programs for this healthcare system include a Robotics Program and a Clinical Practice for Enhanced Recovery after Surgery program.
Results
In addition, Dr. Loftus worked closely with Supply Chain Services and helped develop a Value Analysis Program. He also co-led multiple initiatives resulting in greater than $75 million in supply cost savings over 2 years. This work helped Banner Health achieve a top 25 designation from Gartner. Prior to this as a Chief Medical Officer for a large community hospital, he provided oversight for quality improvement, which resulted in a Truven Top 100 hospital designation and an Everest Award.
