Dr. Terry Loftus began in 2015 with the goal of advising healthcare leaders on how to successfully implement programs. Successful programs result in improved outcomes for patients and lower costs for the healthcare system. With 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry as a provider and executive, Dr. Loftus is uniquely qualified to advise on program development.
Dr. Loftus worked as a Medical Director for Surgical Services & Clinical Resources for Banner Health, a large integrated delivery network based out of Phoenix, Arizona. This leadership role provided him the opportunity to diffuse new innovations in clinical and operational practices across a healthcare system. Successfully implemented programs for this healthcare system include a Robotics Program and a Clinical Practice for Enhanced Recovery after Surgery program.
In addition, Dr. Loftus worked closely with Supply Chain Services and helped develop a Value Analysis Program. He also co-led multiple initiatives resulting in greater than $75 million in supply cost savings over 2 years. This work helped Banner Health achieve a top 25 designation from Gartner. Prior to this as a Chief Medical Officer for a large community hospital, he provided oversight for quality improvement, which resulted in a Truven Top 100 hospital designation and an Everest Award.
This work as a physician executive for a large healthcare system and community hospital C-Suite makes him uniquely qualified to provide advice for leaders who are facing similar challenges. He is your trusted source for objective information essential for healthcare executives who need to make high value decisions in a timely manner. An independent, objective, experienced outsider is a great source of information to an individual or organization. Dr. Terry Loftus can be that source. He specializes in surgery and supply chain topics and can speak the language of a clinician with the background as a former member of the C-Suite, and a healthcare executive of a large integrated delivery network.
